In 2020, just 4 years ago, the US population aged 75+ years was 22,874.02 thousand persons. To give you an idea of how those numbers have changed, in 1971 there were 8,173.21 thousand to that 22,874.02 thousand in 2020.
Why is that? Somewhere along the way we started “naming” generation groups. The current group of super age-ers are the Baby Boomers. We all belong to our cohort by a label. Who knew?
Disruptions in our systems has held back thousands from moving to a smaller place, or to what is popularly called “aging in place”. And more and more have to make the move to get care.

So how does it work then, to be able to take the equity gained from selling the house to convert it into some longer term care or a smaller place to age comfortably, with maybe some help?
